SINOPSE:
Joli, uma migrante da República Dominicana, passou mais de 30 anos a trabalhar como empregada doméstica na Suíça para sustentar a família que deixou para trás. Apesar das dificuldades do seu trabalho e da solidão da sua vida no estrangeiro, ela agarra-se ao sonho de um dia regressar à sua terra natal. O filme acompanha a sua jornada emocional, explorando temas como sacrifício, esperança e o seu profundo desejo por uma vida plena.
SYNOPSIS:
Joli, a migrant from the Dominican Republic, has spent more than 30 years working as a cleaner in Switzerland to support the family she left behind. Despite the hardships of her labor and the loneliness of her life abroad, she clings to the dream of returning to her homeland one day. The film follows her emotional journey, exploring themes of sacrifice, hope, and her deep longing for a fulfilled life.

BIO PT:
Nascida em 1990 em Lucerna, Suíça. 2017 Bacharel em Educação Primária pela Pädagogische Hochschule Lucerne. Além do seu trabalho como professora, concluiu o CAS Documentary Film na HKB (Hochschule der Künste Bern) em 2019 e participou em vários projetos cinematográficos. Desde 2022, estuda mestrado em Cinema na HSLU (Hochschule Luzern, Design & Kunst).

Born in Lucerne, Switzerland, in 1990. Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education from the Lucerne University of Teacher Education in 2017. In addition to her work as a teacher, she completed the CAS Documentary Film program at the HKB (Bern University of the Arts) in 2019 and participated in various film projects. 2025 she has completed a Master's degree in Film at the HSLU (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts - Design, Film & Art).
