SINOPSE:
Um diário urgente feito na intersecção entre um cenário digital agitado e a violência interna da colonização moderna.
O filme narra as noites sem dormir de um grupo de ativistas, com os olhos fixos nos ecrãs enquanto acompanham as notícias da Palestina e de toda a região. Em Amesterdão, longe dos seus países de origem, a violência policial e a ameaça de deportação mantêm-nos colados às interfaces digitais noite após noite.
SYNOPSIS:
An urgent desktop diary made at the intersection of a hectic digital landscape and the inner violence of modern colonization.
The film chronicles the sleepless nights of a group of activists, eyes fixed on screens as they follow the news from Palestine and across the region. In Amsterdam, far from their home countries, police violence and the threat of deportation glue them to digital interfaces night after night.

Firat Yücel é produtor e editor de documentários que vive e trabalha em Amesterdão e Istambul. É também o curador da série de vídeos Altyazı Fasikül: Free Cinema, que faz parte da Altyazı Cinema Association, dedicada a apoiar cineastas e videastas políticos em risco na Turquia e noutros países. O seu trabalho centra-se na realização coletiva de filmes e na resistência contra a censura, enquanto os seus documentários se concentram em temas como o exílio, a vigilância e o direito à cidade – em formatos que incluem o ensaio em vídeo, o documentário de secretária e a biografia, entre outros. Yücel faz parte da BAK Cell, em Utrecht, na Fellowship for Situated Practice.
BIO ENG:
Firat Yücel is a documentary producer and editor who lives and works in Amsterdam and Istanbul. He is also the curator behind the video series Altyazı Fasikül: Free Cinema, which is part of the Altyazı Cinema Association, dedicated to supporting political film and video makers at risk in Turkey and elsewhere. His work is centred around collective filmmaking and resistance against censorship, while his documentaries focus on topics like exile, surveillance and the right to the city – in forms including the video essay, desktop documentary and biopic, among others. Yücel is part of the BAK Cell, Utrecht, in the Fellowship for Situated Practice.
