SINOPSE:
Na gestão, itens de ação são tarefas que devem ser realizadas para avançar. Mas e se a questão não for individual, mas sistémica? Ambientado em Berlim, o filme explora os sintomas de uma condição silenciada do nosso tempo. Uma reflexão sobre o esgotamento passa da experiência pessoal para uma perspetiva coletiva. «Action Item» é uma possibilidade de transformar a ansiedade em resistência, reformulando as lutas através da memória partilhada, imagens encontradas e a política do cuidado. E se a verdadeira tarefa for desaprender, fazer uma pausa, reimaginar?
SYNOPSIS:
In management, action items are tasks that must be performed to move forward. But what if the issue is not individual, but systemic? Set in Berlin, the film explores symptoms of a silenced condition of our time. A reflection on burnout moves from personal experience to a collective perspective. "Action Item" is a possibility to transform anxiety into resistance, reframing struggles through shared memory, found footage, and the politics of care. What if the real task is to unlearn, pause, reimagine?

Paula Ďurinová (1987) é uma realizadora e artista visual eslovaca radicada em Berlim. A sua primeira longa-metragem, «Lapilli» (2024), estreou-se na Competição Proxima do Festival Internacional de Cinema de Karlovy Vary e foi exibida em festivais como o DOK Leipzig, o RIDM e o Trieste. As suas curtas-metragens foram apresentadas em Sarajevo, Ji.hlava, CinéDOC-Tbilisi e One World Prague, entre outros. Em Berlim, trabalhou como diretora artística da ACUD Galerie e estudou Arte e Media na Universität der Künste, na turma de Thomas Arslan.

Paula Ďurinová (1987) is a Slovak film director and visual artist based in Berlin. Her first feature-length "Lapilli" (2024) premiered at Karlovy Vary IFF Proxima Competition and was screened in festivals such as DOK Leipzig, RIDM and Trieste. Her short films were presented at Sarajevo, Ji.hlava, CinéDOC-Tbilisi and One World Prague, among others. In Berlin she worked as Artistic director of ACUD Galerie and studied Art and Media at the Universität der Künste in the class of Thomas Arslan.
