SINOPSE:
Quem não conhece o Saara pensa que no deserto só há areia. Mas aqui há crianças, que brincam, desenham e fazem filmes, e que gostariam de não ter de pensar na guerra. No deserto há uma colónia europeia, um país ocupado, chamado Sahara Ocidental, e há milhares de refugiados sarauís que vivem uma vida difícil no exílio. LITTLE SAHARA é um documentário de animação que conta a sua história, a de um povo solidário e resistente que tenta prosperar e crescer na Hamada, onde tudo luta para crescer.
SYNOPSIS:
Those who do not know the Sahara think that in the desert there is only sand. But here there are children, who play and draw and make movies, and who would like not to have to think about war. In the desert there is a European colony, an occupied country, called Western Sahara, and there are thousands of Sahrawi refugees living a hard life in exile. LITTLE SAHARA is an animated documentary that tells their story, that of a solidary and resilient people who try thrive and grow up in the Hamada, where everything struggles to grow.

Emilio Martí (Valência, 1978) produz e realiza filmes experimentais que lutam pela mudança social e pelos direitos humanos. Entre eles estão UNANIMATED (2011, uma comédia sobre o medo de ser "real") e os documentários de animação MARHABA (2016), MAKUN (2019) e LITTLE SAHARA (2023).
