SINOPSE:
Três forasteiros chegam a Ribeiro de Baixo, uma aldeia nas terras altas do norte de Portugal, onde misteriosas luzes nocturnas anunciam a morte dos seus habitantes.
No silêncio do vale, duas mulheres, Áurea e Umbelina, passam os dias a vigiar o gado do outro lado da fronteira, partilhando histórias de encontros com lobos e tradições antigas.
De França, chegam os netos, que se juntam à aldeia para assistir ao crepúsculo de uma geração e de um modo de vida.
SYNOPSIS:
Three outsiders arrive at Ribeiro de Baixo, a village on the northern highlands of Portugal, where mysterious night lights foretell the death of its inhabitants.
In the silence of the valley, two women, Áurea and Umbelina spend their days watching over the cattle across the border, sharing tales of encounters with wolves and ancient traditions.
From France, grandchildren arrive, leisurely joining the village in witnessing the twilight of a generation and a way of life.

BIO PT:
Rodrigo (1994), Nuno (1982) e Vítor (1989) conheceram-se num curso livre de cinema no Porto. Nenhum deles trabalha na indústria cinematográfica, mas todos são fascinados pelas possibilidades narrativas e poéticas da imagem em movimento. Aliando a amizade a interesses comuns pela natureza e pela autenticidade de um país transgénico, decidiram rumar a Melgaço para a sua primeira experiência documental em conjunto.

Rodrigo (1994), Nuno (1982) and Vítor (1989) met in a free film course in Porto. None of them work in the film industry, but they are all fascinated by the narrative and poetic possibilities of the moving image. Combining friendship with common interests in nature and the authenticity of a transgenic country, they decided to head to Melgaço for their first documentary experience together.
