Olmo Couto é diretor de fotografia e cineasta documental galego. Formou-se entre a Polónia (PWSFTviT) e Cuba (EICTV), duas geografias que moldaram uma prática cinematográfica onde ética e poesia se encontram. Entre 2018 e 2023 trabalhou em Rojava (Norte e Leste da Síria) como diretor de fotografia e membro da Komina Film Rojava. O seu documentário Serê Kaniyê (2025), foi apresentado no OUFF – Festival Internacional de Cinema de Ourense e recebeu prémios no Kurdish Film Festival de Düsseldorf e

Olmo Couto is a Galician cinematographer and documentary filmmaker. He trained between Poland and Cuba, two geographies that shaped a filmmaking approach where ethics and poetry meet. Between 2018 and 2023, he worked in Rojava (North and East Syria) as a director of photography and a member of Komina Film Rojava. His documentary Serê Kaniyê, presented at the OUFF International Film Festival in Ourense, received awards at the Kurdish Film Festival in Düsseldorf and the Rojava Film Festival.
