SINOPSE:
Uma jovem mulher relata as histórias do seu pai sobre a ocupação militar de South Armagh durante o conflito na Irlanda do Norte. Essas memórias intergeracionais desencadeiam uma exploração assombrosa das paisagens da Irlanda do Norte e dos vestígios do seu passado silenciado. À medida que uma figura fantasmagórica paira nas sombras de um forte militar abandonado há muito tempo, as fronteiras entre o passado e o presente, a realidade e a ficção, começam a esbater-se.
SYNOPSIS:
A young woman recounts her father's stories of South Armagh's military occupation during the Troubles. These intergenerational memories trigger a hauntological exploration of Northern Ireland's landscapes and the remnants of its silenced past. As as a ghostly figure lingers through the shadows of a long-abandoned military fort, the borders between past and present, fact and fiction, start to blur.

Lennart Soberon é cineasta e investigador de pós-doutorado na Universidade de Bruxelas (VUB). Com foco em temas como memória e identidade nacional, a sua investigação académica e prática artística visam construir imaginários alternativos sobre fronteiras. É também programador de cinema para o KASKcinema, um cinema alternativo sem fins lucrativos em Ghent, na Bélgica.

Lennart Soberon is a filmmaker and post-doctoral researcher working at the University of Brussels (VUB). Focussing on themes of memory and national identity, his academic research and artistic practice aim to construct alternative border imaginaries. He is also a film programmer for KASKcinema; a non-profit alternative film theatre in Ghent, Belgium.
