SINOPSE:
Happy, um imigrante indiano sem documentos, trabalha numa pequena loja de esquina em Bruxelas. Ele acorda com uma sensação de esperança para uma existência solitária, confinado às quatro paredes da loja. Enquanto tenta manter a harmonia na rotina diária, conversas telefónicas à noite revelam o mundo sombrio da imigração ilegal indiana. SYNOPSIS:
Happy, an undocumented Indian immigrant works in a small corner shop in Brussels. He wakes up with a sense of hope to a solitary existence boxed into the four walls of the shop. While he tries to maintain harmony in the everyday rut, phone conversations in the night map the grim world of illegal Indian immigration. Siddhant Sarin é um cineasta e educador indiano premiado nacionalmente. É cofundador da Docustan e os seus filmes exploram o quotidiano das pessoas através de métodos observacionais. Com uma abordagem íntima, ele atravessa a interação entre os mundos interno e externo dos indivíduos. Ele recebeu apoio do Asian Cinema Fund (Busan), Docedge, EIDF e Lithuanian Film Centre para o seu filme premiado nacionalmente, «Ayena (Mirror)», que estreou em festivais como o Krakow Film Festival.

Siddhant Sarin is a national award winning filmmaker & educator from India. He is a co-founder of Docustan and his films delve into the quotidian lives of people through observational methods. With an intimate approach, he traverses the interaction between individuals’ internal and external worlds.
