SINOPSE:
«Sewing Machine» é um filme sobre a cidade de Pechory (Petseri) e os seus habitantes, contado através da história de vida da bisavó do realizador e do seu bebé recém-nascido, que teve de ser escondido numa caixa de máquina de costura.
SYNOPSIS:
"Sewing Machine" is a film about the town of Pechory (Petseri) and its people, told through the life story of the director’s great-grandmother, and her newborn baby who had to be hidden in a sewing machine box.

BIO PT:
Ülo Pikkov (1976) é um cineasta, produtor e estudioso de cinema de renome internacional. Pikkov é autor de «Animasophy, Theoretical Writings on the Animated Film» (2011). Em 2018, Pikkov obteve o seu doutoramento na Academia de Artes da Estónia com a tese «Anti-Animation: Textures of Eastern European Animated Film» (Anti-Animação: Texturas do Cinema de Animação da Europa Oriental) e atualmente trabalha como professor de animação na mesma instituição.

Ülo Pikkov (1976) is an internationally renowned filmmaker, producer and film scholar. Pikkov is the author of “Animasophy, Theoretical Writings on the Animated Film” (2011). In 2018 Pikkov got his doctoral degree at the Estonian Academy of Arts with thesis “Anti-Animation: Textures of Eastern European Animated Film” and today he works as a professor of animation at the same institution.
