SINOPSE:
Durante um passeio de observação de aves nos polders de Doel, na Bélgica, em 2020, deparei-me com um monte de areia no meio de uma rotunda, no meio do porto industrial de Antuérpia.
Este monte de areia é uma escultura monumental, moldada por centenas de andorinhas da costa. Para além de ser uma obra espetacular, é sobretudo um local de vida e de reprodução para centenas, quase milhares, de andorinhas: RIPARIA, riparia.
SYNOPSIS:
On a birdwatching tour of the Doel polders, Belgium, in 2020, I came across a pile of sand in the middle of a traffic circle, itself in the middle of the industrial port of Antwerp.
This pile of sand is a monumental sculpture, shaped by hundreds of shore swallows. As well as being a spectacular piece of work, it is above all a living and breeding ground for hundreds, almost thousands, of swallows: RIPARIA, riparia.

Professor-investigador, artista plástico, cineasta.
Nasceu em 1980, em Nancy, França.
Cresceu em Paris, mas estudou na escola agrícola da Borgonha. A abordagem produtivista do mundo vivo foi tão violenta que se aproximou das imagens e tirou um diploma universitário em "cinema da vida selvagem".
Após o mestrado em "Narração Especulativa", começou a trabalhar nas artes visuais e a refletir teoricamente sobre a sua carreira, nomeadamente no mundo do cinema da vida selvagem. Todo o seu trabalho incide sobre o papel que as representações da "natureza" têm nas nossas sociedades contemporâneas. O seu trabalho artístico gira em torno da "imagem em movimento" e do cinema experimental.

Teacher-researcher, visual artist, filmmaker.
Born in 1980 , Nancy France.
She grew up in Paris, but studied at the agricultural school in Burgundy. The productivist approach to the living world was so violent that she moved closer to images and took a University Diploma in "wildlife cinema”.
After the master's degree in "Speculative Narration" she began to work in the visual arts and started thinking theoretically about her career, particularly in the world of wildlife cinema. All her work focuses on the role that representations of “nature” have in our contemporary societies. Her artistic work revolves around “moving image” and experimental cinema.
