Depois de um salvamento de alto risco, no mar mediterrâneo, os viajantes náufragos e os socorristas vivem juntos a bordo, à espera de atracar num porto seguro. Este período a bordo é o primeiro abrigo que os sobreviventes têm no meio da sua viagem, criando uma ligação única com os socorristas.
